【What is the JWF Fund?】
- The JWF Fund was founded in 2005 and is operated solely by the Japan Water Forum (JWF), with the aim of supporting selected local grassroots organizations that are applying water-related solution projects, such as those in the table above, in developing countries.
- Every year, the JWF publicly seeks projects to support. Those projects adopted are each eligible to receive funding of up to US$1,500. Our assessment focuses on the consistency of project solutions; reliance on locally available materials, personnel, and technology; and the facilities’ maintenance structure.
- The JWF Fund is based on membership fees of JWF members, and donations from general contributors.
