APWF and NoWNET @ World Water Week 2026

World Water Week 2026 will take place 23–27 August 2026 in Stockholm and online, under the theme “Water for People and Progress.” Organized by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI), the Week will focus on advancing a more just, equitable, and water-secure future in a changing climate.


APWF Co-Convenes: Operationalizing the WEFE Nexus for Climate-Resilient and Equitable Water Security

APWF, together with its partners, will explore how the Water–Energy–Food–Ecosystem (WEFE) Nexus can move from commitments to practical implementation in Asia. The session will showcase integrated basin approaches, policy lessons, and operational solutions for advancing equitable and climate-resilient water security.

On behalf of the NoWNET Secretariat, Japan Water Forum will co-convene a session exploring how multi-stakeholder partnerships can strengthen integrated river basin management, climate resilience, and ecosystem health. Case studies from Africa, Asia, and Europe will highlight practical approaches to governance, finance, science and innovation, and collective action.
