The Japan Water Forum(specified nonprofit organization, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, Chair:Kotaro Takemura, Ph.D.)has been co-organizing the Kyoto World Water Grand Prize 2024* in collaboration with the Kyoto City and the World Water Council (WWC, French non-governmental organization).

We have received numerous applications. The Kyoto World Water Grand Prize Selection Committee, composed of representatives from Kyoto City, the World Water Council, and the Japan Water Forum, conducted an evaluation emphasizing contributions to “culture” and “community” and the sustainability of the initiatives.

As a result of the rigorous evaluation, we are pleased to announce that the prize is awarded to the Indonesian organization, the Youth Sanitation Concern.
