About the World Water Forum
The World Water Forum is the world’s largest international conference on water, organized by the World Water Council (WWC), an international NGO, in collaboration with the host country. Held every three years around World Water Day (March 22), the forum provides a unique platform where the water community and key decision makers can collaborate and make long-term progress on global water challenges. The Forum brings together participants from all levels and areas, including politics, multilateral institutions, academia, civil society and the private sector, among others.
At this global gathering centered on the theme of “water”, Japan aims to showcase its expertise and technologies, contributing to the achievement of international goals such as the SDGs and addressing global water issues. Through these efforts, Japan seeks to enhance its presence in the international community and promote the global deployment of its water-related technologies.
In addition to its activities within various programs, the Japan Water Forum will continue to take a proactive role in solving water issues, including serving as an information hub within Japan.
