– Field visit report on the Darvish Yu Water Fund 17th project.

In order to confirm sustainability and proper O&M of the constructed facilities, the Darvish Yu Water Fund carries out a follow-up survey around two years after the project completion.  Please find the voluntary survey conducted last August by RWC when they noted this matter as per below website.
The impacts of the projects were greater than our expectation. The village water demand expanded as more people returned from Thailand due to the border dispute.

– Session outcome report: Stockholm World Water Week 2025 “Early Warning in Asia-Pacific: Bridging Science with Action”

The session “Early Warnings in Asia-Pacific: Bridging Science with Action” at Stockholm 2025 brought together leading experts to explore how science, technology, and inclusive governance can transform early warning systems into life-saving tools for all. Interactive discussion highlighted innovations in satellite observation, anticipatory finance, community-based systems, and gender-responsive design. Speakers from WMO, IWMI, ADPC, JAXA, KEI, ICIMOD, AWP, ESCAP, SEI Asia and APWF emphasized the need for co-designed, action-ready information and locally led approaches that ensure early warnings reach even the most vulnerable and build lasting climate resilience across Asia-Pacific.

– Session outcome report: Stockholm World Water Week 2025 “Asia’s Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem Future: Harmonizing Hydropower with Nature-Based Solutions”

Asia stands at a critical crossroads—balancing the urgent demand for water for multi-purposes and clean energy with the need to protect its vital ecosystems. The session “Asia’s Water–Energy–Food–Ecosystem Future: interplay between Harmonizing Hydropower and Nature-Based Solutions” explored how hydropower can evolve into a nature-positive force through integrated basin planning, inclusive governance, and science-based innovation. Experts from IWMI, ADPC, IUCN, UNESCO, GIB shared practical models—from groundwater recharge in the Ganges to biodiversity offsets in Lao PDR—demonstrating that nature-based solutions can reconcile trade-offs between energy, water, food, and ecosystems, fostering resilient and sustainable development across Asia and beyond.

– Session outcome report: Stockholm World Water Week 2025 “Leveraging Regional Synergies for Climate Resilient Water Management in Hindu-Kush-Himalaya”

“Leveraging Regional Synergies for Climate-Resilient Water Management in the Hindu  Kush Himalaya (HKH)” session brought together leading experts and organizations to address the urgent crisis facing the HKH. Co-convened by APWF, ADB, ADPC, ICIMOD, IUCN Asia, and IWMI, the session underscored that accelerated glacier melt, floods, and water scarcity are already threatening the livelihoods of 1.9 billion people. Speakers called for urgent, collective, and evidence-based action—bridging science, policy, finance, and community efforts. Key messages emphasized the importance of strengthening transboundary cooperation through science diplomacy, scaling up nature-based and youth-led solutions, integrating glacial and watershed knowledge into policy, and mobilizing finance for climate-resilient investments.

– Session outcome report: Stockholm World Water Week 2025 “Accelerating Climate Action: Cross-Sector Partnerships for Water Resilience”

At World Water Week 2025, the Northern Water Network (NoWNET) convened a dynamic dialogue on how multi-stakeholders and cross-sector collaboration can accelerate climate action and strengthen water resilience. The session spotlighted the EU Water Resilience Strategy, while also sharing opinions and feedback from Denmark, the Netherlands, Portugal, and lessons from Japan and Korea. Speakers emphasized that restoring the water cycle, scaling up nature-based solutions, and mobilizing finance are crucial to building resilient, inclusive water futures—where collaboration across governments, sectors, and regions transitions from ambition to concrete action.
