On Saturday, November 11, 2023, “Youth Water Forum Asia”, an international exchange event on the theme of water, was held in Kumamoto City.
High school students from Japan and Asia presented the current status of water issues in their countries and their own efforts to solve them, and discussed how they can cooperate with each other to solve the world’s water problems with experts in the field. Participating high school students commented, “It was good to be able to interact with high school students from overseas. I would like to focus on the world and participate in the dialogue. I recognized the importance of not only intergenerational exchange but also the importance of offering our own opinions.
We would like to continue to hold this event in the future to expand opportunities for youth activities.
