Outcomes of the Asia Focus Sessions on the Stockholm World Water Week 2021 Online

Stockholm World Water Week 2021 (SWWW 2021) was organized as a full-scale digital event from 23 to 27 August 2021. 418 sessions were organized, and 13,000 people listened to these sessions. The Asia-Pacific Water Forum (APWF), where the JWF acts as its secretariat, was appointed by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI), organizer of the SWWW 2021, as the regional coordinator of the Asia Focus sessions of the SWWW 2021. APWF collaborated with various organizations to advance water security challenges across Asia and the Pacific by sharing knowledge, experiences, and lessons under the theme of SWWW 2021, “Building Resilience Faster.” In 2021, we organized three sessions as the Asia Focus.

1. Best practices in Innovative water financing in Asia and the Pacific (23 August, 17:00-18:00 JST)

In addition, the Northern Water Network (NoWNET), where the JWF also acts as the secretariat, organized a session “Nature as a Partner: Implementing Nature-based Solutions Globally” on 23 August with the NoWNET members’ organizations (15:00-16:00 JST).
