The Kyoto World Water Grand Prize is an international award established to recognize outstanding initiatives that address water-related challenges and to share their achievements with the global community.

We are pleased to announce that the call for applications for the Kyoto World Water Grand Prize 2027 will open on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

The Prize invites applications from non-profit organizations (NPOs) working at the community level in developing countries and engaged in addressing water-related issues, including water resources management, water supply and sanitation, and water environment conservation.
Eligible activities may include, for example, the development or rehabilitation of water sources such as wells and reservoirs, and the improvement of water supply and sanitation facilities.
However, the scope of eligible activities is not limited to these examples.

The award includes a monetary prize to support the activities of the selected organization.
Further details regarding eligibility, application procedures, and guidelines will be made available on our website when the call for applications opens.
