– Implementation of the “Flood Fighting Exercise Embassy Tour 2025”

On Saturday, May 17, 2025, the 73rd Tone River System Federation Comprehensive Flood Prevention Exercise was held in Kinu River Basin of Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture.

The Flood Prevention Exercise Embassy Tour is an event that introduces Japan’s flood disaster countermeasures to ambassadors and representatives from embassies and international organizations stationed in Japan on behalf of countries around the world. This year marks the 14th time the event has been held.

In recent years, due to the rapid changes in climate, there has been a growing global concern about water-related disasters. Despite the unfavorable weather conditions, we were honored to have a greater number of ambassadors and high-ranking officials attend the event.
