  • Profile of Small Scale Private Water Providers in eight cities in Asia (Ulaan Batar, HoChiMin City, Delhi, Dhaka, Katmandu, Cebu, Jakarta and Shanghai) focusing on their typology, volume of business and number of customers.
  • Presentation of three case studies of three SSPWP operating piped water networks in poor urban areas, focusing in their marketing and management strategies, customer base and business environment.
  • Discussion of draft concept paper on how to integrate SSPWPs into concession contracts to provide service coverage to poor urban areas where utilities cannot have presence in the near future.
  • Panel discussion on next steps and strategies to incorporate SSPWPs as an actor in the water supply and sanitation sector. Key aspects in introducing SSWPs as a player in water supply sector policy and strategy discussions.
