JWF will organize the Japan Pavilion at the Water Expo, the Third Children World Water Forum in cooperation with the 5th World Water Forum Secretariat and Project WET, as well as a side-event, in cooperation with the NoWNET members and European Water Partnership. 28 November 2008 / Reporting magazine of the Youth World Water Summit is available online!
You can read a reporting magazine of the Youth World Water Summit (organized in Beppu city on June 11, 2008) on the internet! It consists of reports made by young people from 22 countries all around the world, describing water problems in their respective countries. The entire drafting and design of SHIZUKU was carried out by young people, which makes the magazine accessible to everyone. There are 8 different language version, namely in English, Spanish, French, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai, Hindi. Please have a look on it and enjoy your reading!

We are pleased to inform you that The AICHI EXPO team and Mission Uchimizu Headquarters will organize "Uchimizu@EXPO Zaragoza 2008" on Monday, July 21, the EXPO's national day of Japan, the day before the official opening of "Mission Uchimizu" in Japan. The EXPO Zaragoza is the international exhibition under the theme of "Water and Sustainable Developmenth in Zaragoza, Spain. We expect that the visitors of the EXPO Zaragoza would enjoy sprinkling water in front of "El Faro," at 13:00, 13:15 and 13:30 with the Japanese citizens. We also plan to carry out a demonstration of Uchimizu between 12:00 and 13:00 near "Anfiteatro 43."

19 May 2008 /CSD side event; Water and Sanitation : Message to G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit
To gain significant momentum towards the G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit and support the Government of Japan's strong stand on water and sanitation issues, a side-event at the Commission for Sustainable Development convened participants of the 16th Commission for Sustainable Development at the United Nations in New York City, for an exchange of views on the "Water and Sanitation: Message to G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit." The side-event was co-organized by Japan Water Forum, Asia-Pacific Water Forum, Asia Society, UNICEF, UNSGAB and WaterAid, and supported by the Permanent Mission of Japan to the United Nations. A keynote address was delivered by Dr. Takahiro Shinyo, Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary / Deputy Permanent Representative of Japan to the United Nations. The Japan Water Forum presented the 1st Asia-Pacific Water Summit focusing on its political impact, and WaterAid presented the "Major Groups' Message on Water and Sanitation to the G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit." A panel discussion, facilitated by Ms. Margaret Catley-Carlson, Member of UNSGAB / Former Chair of Global Water Partnership, followed with the representatives from the co-organizers of the event.

07 Nov 2006 / Mr. Yoshiro Mori, President of the Japan Water Forum, became the President of the APWF
The Governing Council held a formal meeting and adopted a resolution by consensus to invite Mr. Yoshiro Mori, President of Japan Water Forum, to become the President of the APWF as of October 31, 2006. Mr. Mori's presidency officially began when he accepted this position on November 7, 2006.
