The japan Water Forum is the secretariat of the Asia-Pacific Water Forum. JWF president is also the president of the Asia-Pacific Water Forum.
The APWF is an independent, not-for-profit, non-partisan, non-political network.
The goal of the APWF is to contribute to sustainable water management in order to achieve the targets of the MDGs in Asia and the Pacific by capitalizing on the region's diversity and rich history of experience in dealing with water as a fundamental part of the human existence. Specifically, the APWF shall champion efforts aimed at boosting investments, building capacity, and enhancing cooperation in the water sector at the regional level and beyond.

JWF carries out water supply and sanitation activities at the grass-roots level through assistance to NGOs and collaboration with local partners in developing countries.

During the past five years since the creation of the JWF Fund, it has supported 68 projects in 19 countries, benefiting more than 100,000 people.
The World Water Forum is the world's largest meeting for the resolution of water problems, held every three years. The JWF has played a significant role in the World Water Fora in cooperation with partner organizations around the world.
The 6th World Water Forum will be held in Marseille, France between 12 and 17 March 2012.
JWF, as secretariat of the Asia-Pacific Water Forum, serve as regional coordinator in the regional process.
